Official Hiatus

First off, I profusely apologize for not updating. I apologize more considering this post is an official notice of hiatus.

I am shelving Cookie until spring, 2011.

It really, truly bothers me that I have to do this, especially since my comic is still in its baby stages... hopefully any pros will outweigh the cons.

I feel like I owe you guys an explanation, too. I don't really want to bring it down to a personal level, but I honestly thought the comic and other art projects would have been possible even though things started rolling downhill around the time I started Cookie.

Long story short, a lot of the last half of 2010 was pretty chaotic. Both my parents were admitted to the hospital (on different months and situations), and trying to maintain life while visiting parents often and having a full time job eventually started compromising my own health. Good news is, both my parents were fine in the end because the problems were noticed early enough. I'm also fine, but the more serious signs of stress were starting to manifest and I figure I'd be more likely to update if I'm healthy... ;P

With that, I wish you all Happy Holidays!! I'm looking forward to the New Year, and hopefully when we meet again I'll have Cookie revamped :) you can always reach me at vsticha =at= gmail =dot= com, and I do still lurk on twitter (angel_p) and deviantart (angelp). Otherwise, see you in 2011!

Sorry for the filler again, guys :( I said I'd have it back on track by today but I caught a cold and... after managing to slice my finger from cutting carrots, I think my abilities to focus are not with me.

Perhaps what led me to catch my cold in the first place was when I decided to pull a Superwoman. Late nights doing art, chores and cooking + early morning gym runs + day job inbetween = no. My immune system wouldn't have it, and decided to rebel. So uh, my fault :(

Speaking of late nights doing art, remember the project I said I was working on? If you follow me on Deviantart you'll have seen this already :3 this is one of two pieces I have on show right now in Vancouver's first 8-bits of Destiny! Pretty exciting. Yes, I am a video game nerd. I actually learned a lot through doing this picture, and I hope to continue to be as mindful with future art projects.

Mini Hiatus

Hey all,

Just letting you know that Cookie will be taking a two week hiatus :( kinda blows, and I feel super awful about it because I'm only 7 pages in. I haven't been home a lot lately, and my home time ended up being devoted to projects that have a deadline in a week.

Although I can't take my desktop and tablet with me for a finished comic, I can take a sketchbook! And sketchbooks are well used during hour long lunch breaks. So, I present to you a Halloween special. What's fun about this picture is that you'll eventually meet all these characters :D I'm super excited about it, but... I can't introduce them quite yet :(

Anyways, I'll be on "hiatus", but I'll probably sketch up something else for next week too ;)
